Section 20-15-1. - Stopping, Standing, or Parking Prohibited in Designated Places.
No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle, except when necessary to avoid a conflict with other traffic or in compliance with law or ordinance or the directions of a police officer or traffic-control device, in any of the following places;
(1) On a sidewalk.
(2) Within an intersection.
(3) In front of a public or private driveway.
(4) Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant except in a parking space officially marked.
(5) On a crosswalk.
(6) Within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection.
(7) Within 30 feet upon the approach to any flashing beacon, stop sign, or traffic-control signal located at the side of a roadway.
(14) At any place where official signs prohibit stopping.
(15) On a street within 15 feet on either side of a mailbox between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., unless said mailbox is that of the abutting property occupant. A violation of the same shall carry a fine of $15.00, which shall increase to $30.00 if not paid within 72 hours of issuance of ticket.
Section 20-15-6. - Parking More Than 24 Hours Prohibited
(1) No person shall park a vehicle on any street or in any alley for a period of time longer than 24 hours.
